Here are more shoots from my night out with a group of photographers last night. Under the dimmed street light, these paintings delivers added another flavor to Temple Street.

Passing the Temple street, there is a dark alley filled with fortune tellers. Each would charge $100 – 500 to shade light on your future.

Last night, I went to a photo walk with 10+ other photographers from Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Tokyo. Dave Powell from Shoottokyo organized this event. I didn’t expect it was such a big turned out. Despite some drizzling rain, we all enjoyed the shooting night. As we arrived the Temple street, a group of missionaries were just about to give their performance. Their passion and enthusiasm caught many’s attention. They were surrounded by photographers. We had 6 Leica shooters in… 
Tomorrow (Feb 24), I will take photo walk with my friend Dave from Tokyo and a few others. Dave has posted details on his blog. We will go to Temple Street first and walk up to Mongkok area. I will practice my Noctilux by shooting street vendors under evening lights. Look for my next posting …… 
We took a long walk to the “muslim street” in the evening. It’s was a colorful and freezing night.

This is the East gate of Xian city wall.
The “muslim street” is about 500 meter long outside the East Gate. It filled with restaurants and shops. A place that is full of life and an ideal destination for night shootings.

We were so cold and finally found a coffee shop to warm up. It’s a good opportunity to take some random shoots.… 
The city wall of Xian was built over 3,000 years ago. It’s probably the only ancient city wall remained in the world today. If you ever go to visit Xian, make sure you pay a visit. The wall is about 13 km long with 4 major gates.
It was freezing cold on the wall. I was fortunate to be accompanied by my colleagues. Among them, Anny and Cindy have always been my official models.

I went to Xi An last week and got a chance to stop by Terracotta Warriors Museum. I was only there for a short tour. There were so much to learn and see. I will have to go back for another visit in the future.

I spent time with my family this weekend and only took a few shoots. On Saturday we went to Shek O 石澳 to see a friend. Shek O is a small village on east side of Hong Kong Island. In summer, its beach is crowded with people, but during winter time, it’s a very quite get-away place where you can slow down and notice the beauty of even street side flowers. Contrary to the fast pace lifestyle in Hong Kong, Taiwan delivers a rich cultural flavor. Street side coffee shops, boutiques, and bookstores are everywhere. It’s probably the only place on earth where Chinese tradition and value are well preserved. I love to stop by Eslite Bookstore whenever I am in Taiwan. I can spent hours there to enjoy a moment of quietness and rediscover inner peace. Other than books, you can also find fine arts, designer goods, and quality restaurants… 
I was on business trip in Taipei this week. My schedule was quite full till Thursday evening. After dinner I went for a walk back to the hotel. It’s been raining since I got to here. Luckily it stopped as I started my walk. The wet street created a nice condition for night shooting.
