My Favorite Drinks in Japan
Whenever I am traveling, it’s hard to keep a balanced diet as a result of work hour especially after late evening business dinners. Every time I am in Japan, I would get two kinds of healthy drinks – Black vinegar and black Oolong tea. Black vinegar is made from white rice and known for lowering blood pressure and preventing disease. It’s a good source of citric acid, an important element for cellular energy production. Black Oolong tea is proven for lowering cholesterol… read more →

At Incheon International Airport, traditional Korean cultural parade is taking place twice a day from July till the end of this year. On Friday evening, I was flying back from Incheon to Hong Kong after a week’s travel. Right after I passed through the custom, the parade just started. I was at the right place the right time. Most importantly, I had the camera with me. The performers were dressed in traditional Korean royal family costumes. While it took place in a…
There are many narrow streets spread above Queen’s Road Central on Hong Kong island. Many of them were established over 100 years ago during the colonial era. The British has certainly left their foot prints here. Wellington St., Stanley St., Gage St., … this is an area of photographer’s heaven day or night. Here are some shoots I took during last Saturday afternoon. I hope you will like them. All images were captured by Voigtlander 17.5 mm f0.95 lens for M4/3 camera. I…
While my daughter was taking a nap at home this afternoon, I sneaked out for a quick photo walk in Central. I didn’t know there are so many graffitis in the back alleys. Some are really quite good.
I haven’t done much posting lately due to a major renovation of my site. Hope you like the new look!…
On one of of my recent flights, I saw a Japanese murder mystery movie The Wing of the Kirin. I was not only touched by the story but also intrigued by the history of Nihonbashi Bridge built in the 1607 during the Edo Period. The bridge is the starting place of road networks in Japan, installed with “the road origin marker of Japan”. The current stone double-arch bridges were built in 1911, and designated as the first cultural important property of…
I took my family to Hokkaido in early July. We spent a wonderful time in Sapporo, Ashahigawa, Furano, and Biei. Since it’s a family trip, I didn’t want to ignore them by focusing too much on photographing. For the entire trip, I used the small and portable Olympus OMD with Panasonic (Leica certified) Summilux 25mm f1.4 and Olympus MSC 12 mm f2.o lenses.
During the 7 days trip, I only took about 1,000 photos. 95% of them are family photos.…
I have been very busy with work lately and had no time at all for any posting. Last week I was in Shanghai for a quick stop and only had chance to take a few shoots during and after dinner.
Meet Anny, she runs sales team for me in China. I am lucky since she is not only good at selling but also sharing the same passion with me. Needless to say, she is a also natural born model.

I was on my way to Jakarta last Tuesday and stopped over Singapore for an evening event. I stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel at Changi Airport terminal 3. It was a nice modern airport hotel good for travelers for getting in and out on a quick trip.
These are my road warrior gears. No matter where I travel to and for how long it lasts, I only take one carry on luggage along with a camera, a brief case,…
Since late 2010, Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) offers a convenient alternative for those who travel to Tokyo. It’s only 20 – 30 minutes away from the city center. When Narita was the only option, travelers have to spend 1.5 – 2 hours. Nowadays I always schedule my Tokyo trip through Haneda. My personal record was 40 minutes from the time I land to the moment I checked into the hotel. I did without any rush … 10 minutes at immigration…
Another busy working day, I only took captured a few images on my way to office this morning. …
