Random Shots in Kyoto & Osaka
This is final sets of photos that I’ve taken in Kyoto and Osaka in early April.
Taking a train from Osaka to Kyoto is quite convenient. It took only about 40 minutes.

While we were walking at the Philosopher’s Walk 哲學の道 in Kyoto last week. My daughter saw a rickshaw and wanted to have a ride.
Meet Yamada Takayuki 山田孝之. He is a professional rickshaw puller. You can tell that he loves his profession, likes to meet new people, and is extremely good with kids. He took us through some amazing streets full of sakura trees and flowers and has definitely made our trip in Kyoto a memorable one.

Last Wednesday night in Kyoto, I left my wife and daughter in the hotel (with their permission ) and went out for a late evening walk along the Minamikurumaya-dori Street. I didn’t expect much until I got there. The true beauty of cherry blossom revealed its beauty in the evening.
More shots from my Osaka and Kyoto trip tomorrow.

Within 2 KM of where I live, there is an old village established back in the 17th century. Squatters built a variety of material are mashed along the hill side. It’s not a delightful scene in a modern city like Hong Kong. I seldom pay any attention to it until recently I saw a video about it. http://vimeo.com/50422493. On January 2nd, I visited Pokfulam city. It was a memorable experience.

The distance between my hotel front door to the monorail station that connects to Haneda Int’l Airport is about 700 meters. I typically rush through it in under 8 minutes. On Friday morning, it took me 20 minutes since I slowed down for some photo opportunities. My 700 meters walk started from the hotel lobby.
I have taken so many photos of Zojoji Temple and still have had enough of it. Behind the temple is the landmark Tokyo Tower.

I had no breathing room last week while working in Tokyo last week. The only moment that gave me a peaceful mind was my 10 minutes walk to the office in the morning. The deep sense of late autumn and the cold temperature delivered a sense of sadness while the warm sun and the fresh air reminded me of hope. The falling leaves was like rain showers.
